A Musical Night of Learning
District 34 students in 5th through 8th grade enjoyed being part of the 2010 GEF Recital Night on February 4th. More importantly, they walked away with greater Readiness skills for their future in band, choir or orchestra and life. The Glenview Education Foundation (GEF) was once again proud to fund this year's event as part of its 2009-10 STAR Grants.
Over 420 District 34 students participated in this year's annual enrichment program. We are fortunate to be a part of a district that is dedicated to the fine arts, and as such, has been recognized in Illinois as one of the “Best 100 Communities for Music Education in America” conferred by the American Music Conference.
