In previous years we have depended upon local businesses to sponsor our annual benefit and advertise in our event program book. Thank you to the many businesses that have supported this annual event.

New this year, GEF is launching its Reach for the STARs campaign.

Instead of asking for your support tied to a one-time GEF Benefit, our goal is to expand the business donor role to a campaign that will run the entire school year. This change will give business a far broader reach into the Glenview community and will allow more of your donation to directly impact the classroom.

The campaign funding will focus on four key areas of funding called the STAR initiatives as follows:

Science Enrichment: Acclaimed science program at all grade levels

Teacher Investment: Support high performance teaching environment

At-Risk Support: Bolster efforts to help academically at-risk students learn

Readiness Skills: Improve executive function skills (organization, communication, etc.)

The campaign kicks off with the GEF Fund Drive which will run October 7 – November 7, but we have created programs that will highlight our business supporters throughout the course of the year, beginning with the GEF Fund Drive and culminating with the GEF Back to School Resource Guide to be distributed fall 2010.
