This program was designed with the goal of informing parents of Spanish speaking students about the importance of maintaining their native language to better facilitate their ability to learn in English, to ensure continued communication at home, and to preserve an important part of their culture. The program accomplished this through meetings held at Lyon School designed to support parents by providing activities and resources that develop native language skills and developing connections among Spanish speaking families.
