Charlotte Carlson Bequest

Glenview resident Charlotte Carlson saw the importance of teaching and learning, and dedicated her life to educating children.  She spent her entire 37-year career as a teacher at Winnetka’s Hubbard Woods School. Upon her death in 2002, her more than $900,000 estate was donated to nine organizations, including the Glenview Education Foundation.  The GEF received $100,000 recently from the estate.

The Foundation will continue Charlotte’s legacy to teaching and learning by furthering the educational opportunities of children in District 34.
